Stathamology Part 9: Collateral!
Stathamology June 10th. 2008, 1:40pm
Every actor has one movie that defines their career. Sometimes an actor has such a career defining role that it also defines their life, their dreams, their destiny. I like to think that Collateral is that movie for Jason Statham.
Statham bumps into Tom Cruise in the airport, and they swap bags.

Enjoy L.A.
That is all.

Overall Statham Rating: 0 bag swaps out of 10 (not an average)
Amount of Statham: 0/10
He is basically not in this movie. I hope he at least got paid for that 10 second bit.
Stathamisms: 1/10
He tells Tom Cruise to enjoy L.A. I cannot tell if it is sarcasm or not, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that it is.
Hard Action: 0/10
After long and hard deliberation, I have decided that bumping into someone in the airport does not count as hard action.
NOTE: It should be pointed out that IMDB has Statham’s character in this movie crosslisted as Frank Martin, ie: THE TRANSPORTER. I cannot confirm the validity of this information as he is only credited as “Airport Man” in the actual film credits on the DVD, but he does appear to transport a bag to Tom Cruise. I only know one man for that kind of precise transportation job.
Either way we have Cellular up next.

I have a question, as the prememinant, (aka only) Stathamologist I know could you confirm or deny the rumor that he’s playing Butler in the movie Artemis Fowl?

naaah, this Airport Man is not Frank Martin. His head is not properly shaved and he doesn’t wear a tie. AND WHERE ARE THE WATERMELON HANDS?

Just FYI: Statham although only seen for a few seconds is quite important for the movie as he exchanges the suitcases and as such hands over all the necessary information on the targets Tom Cruise has to deal with…

Large advice! Loyalty shouldn’t be underestimated. Too often, it’s usurped for acknowledged. In the monthlong run, brutal manipulate doesn’t go unrewarded.
